Little Harry

When Harry was a puppy, he was put into a bag with his sister and thrown into a river.
Rescued and nurtured, he’s now 10 and enjoys a loving home.
But the memory of that day has never left him.
You see it when he’s on his own or when he experiences something new.
He’s never forgotten that day when the barriers to his world were broken and he experienced what could happen if the worst came true.
He has a routine and when he’s not sure, he comes in close.
His connections are made with careful consideration and he depends on those around him heavily.
Sometimes he regains his confidence and totters around the garden with his ears lightly bouncing as he takes in the morning air.
But there are still times when worry overtakes him and the soft glow of sadness returns to his eyes
– he seems lost.
That day has never left him.
